My artworks are mostly talking about limitation of this society, like social expectations and stereotypes, which make you feel I am unable to do that. Besides I also came from a traditional Asian family, I totally understand that how hard to be a free soul in this modern world. I use many cultural metaphors to depict my life obstacle and struggling when I face different social roles, like how to be a good mother, a successful woman or a good wife. I think my life story through my art practice also can have the same impact as other people from different races or any background. Here is my animations also talk about this topic and give people some reflections.

As an immigrant here, I do understand the difficulties to integrate into the community, not to mention the job opportunity and struggling with reality issues. This public art project in Green Lake Park is telling about people to be brave to be yourself! Get rid of those endless eyes from the society judgement and limitation. Everyone is different and belongs here. This also means that no matter who you are or what background you are from, race is also a hinder to comfortably live in this world.
